The Craftmanship that Goes into that Backyard Oasis

Transforming your backyard into an outdoor oasis is so much more than making your yard ‘Instagram worthy”. After two summers of navigating a pandemic, creating a space where family and friends can gather and be together is truly something special.

What goes into transforming your yard into an oasis?

We often see short 15-30 second videos on Instagram and Facebook that make us think that creating an outdoor oasis is as easy as a DIY project or two that you can complete over the course of a few weekends. I’m sure we have all heard stories of home projects that never seem to get completed or wind-up costing way more than anticipated. A major benefit of hiring a team like ours is that we have the capacity to take on large multi-component projects from start to finish. We handle scheduling and working with professional subcontractors, coordinating deliveries, and keeping the job on track and on budget. We take the stress out of creating the backyard of your dreams so you can spend more time with your family, and less time taking trips to Home Depot.

Follow along as we dive into a few of our recent projects! First up, our Pool Paradise in Walpole, MA!

Landscape America Pool Project

These homeowners relocated to Walpole from Connecticut with their three sons. When they moved into their new home their backyard was essentially a blank slate. They dreamed of creating a beautiful backyard that would ease the transition of moving to a new state. What better way to make friends than inviting them to come over and hang out in your backyard oasis?

Major Pool Face Lift in Wrentham, MA

This couple purchased their home recently and were excited to have a pool, however, they knew it needed attention to become the pool of their dreams. It needed a face lift! We stepped in and installed new pool coping and a new patio to surround the pool. We also installed a wall around the pool that they could use as a garden planter.

The bow that tied off the project was the added benefits of a fireplace, sitting wall, low voltage lighting for evening enjoyment, plantings, and a lot of brush and tree clearing to open the property.

Combining Outdoor Spaces in Walpole, MA

This couple purchased this home a couple of years ago and the pool and patio were already installed. In addition to having a pool and patio, there was a deck with railings off the back of the house. After using the two spaces the deck and the pool area seemed disconnected with zero flow! To fix this, we removed the deck and installed granite steps at the back slider. We also installed a new patio at the same height as the existing pool patio.

We produced a creative way to blend the new patio to the existing patio. We had to be very cognizant of drainage with this project to make sure all water drained properly off the patios. In addition to solving the connection issue we installed an outdoor kitchen, a gas burning firepit, low voltage lighting, and prepared an area for a shed that would eventually be renovated as an outdoor bathroom and bar!

The new space now allows for gatherings to happen all at one level and creates a better site line to the pool to watch their young kids play!

The time and energy energy that goes into building these beautiful outdoor spaces is extensive but completely worth it when we get to see the opportunities that they provide for families and friends to gather and make memories that will last a lifetime.
